The Mako shark is the fastest shark on earth. It swims up to 60 miles per hour (96km/h) and it can jump almost 32ft (10m) out of the water.

The world fastest unassisted swim across the English Channel is 6 hours and 58 minutes. The distance is approximately 33km (21 miles). Due to the currents, the actual swimming distance is much longer.

Marlin fish found in the Atlantic ocean are big and fast. They weigh up 1,400lbs (630kg) and can swim 50 miles per hour (80km/h). Their pointy spear helps them hunt tuna and mackerel.
